Capacity figures, not certification badges

Eighteen Craft holds no third-party certifications or audit reports, and we will not display badges we do not have. What we can show is the operating scale and the inspection routine behind it — verifiable by visiting, by booking an independent inspection, or by ordering a sample.

Under one roof

Where we are

A consolidated site in Lieshan District, Huaibei

The factory address is Building 11, Chunxu Industrial Park, No. 3 Taobo Road, Lieshan District, Huaibei, Anhui, China. Development, cutting, sewing, assembly, inspection and export packing all sit on the same site, which removes the coordination risk that comes with a trading office briefing a subcontractor you never see.

An inland Anhui location keeps labour and facility costs below coastal equivalents while remaining connected to the export corridors serving Shanghai and Ningbo. For buyers, that combination usually shows up as a more competitive unit price on the same specification rather than as a difference in the finished bag.

The site is organised into defined zones — sampling and development, cutting, sewing lines, assembly and finishing, inspection, and packing and export preparation — described step by step below.

Production flow

Six stages, from pattern table to export carton

Every order moves through the same six workshop stages regardless of category. Understanding them is what lets a buyer ask useful questions — and what makes the cost drivers behind a quotation make sense.

01

Sampling & development

Pattern making, prototype assembly and revision work happen in a dedicated development area separate from the bulk lines, so sample work never queues behind a production run. First samples typically take 7–12 days.

02

Cutting

Approved materials are laid out and cut to pattern, with panel counts verified against the tech pack before release. Cutting yield is reviewed here because it directly moves unit cost, particularly at test quantities.

03

Skiving, gluing & preparation

Leather and PU edges are skived to reduce bulk at folds, panels are glued and prepared, and foam and reinforcement are fitted for laptop compartments and structural panels before they reach the sewing line.

04

Sewing lines

Bulk production runs on organised sewing lines with operators assigned to defined operations. Line balancing is what makes flexible quantities workable — short runs cost more per unit precisely because setup is spread over fewer pieces.

05

Assembly & finishing

Hardware, zippers, straps and linings are fitted, then each bag is cleaned, thread ends trimmed and shape-checked. Logo application — embroidery, print, embossing, woven labels or metal plates — is completed at this stage.

06

Inspection & export packing

Finished goods pass a final random inspection on an AQL 2.5 style sampling plan, then are polybagged, cartoned, labelled and palletised for export with the documentation the destination market requires.

Quality control

Six checkpoints between material and carton

Quality control at Eighteen Craft is a documented sequence rather than a single end-of-line look. Because we carry no certifications, this is the substance behind our claims — read it, then verify it with a sample or an independent inspector.

Checkpoint 1

Incoming material inspection

Fabric weight and denier, colour against approved swatch, coating, hardware finish and function, quantity reconciliation.

Checkpoint 2

Pre-production sample sign-off

A pre-production sample is made from bulk materials and approved in writing before the line starts. This is the single most effective way to prevent a bulk-scale error.

Checkpoint 3

In-line checks during sewing

Stitch density and straightness, seam alignment, panel symmetry, reinforcement at stress points, dimensional check against the approved sample.

Checkpoint 4

End-of-line functional check

Zipper cycling, buckle and clip function, strap and handle attachment, compartment fit for stated laptop or device sizes.

Checkpoint 5

Final random inspection (AQL 2.5 style)

Statistical sampling of the finished lot for workmanship, appearance, measurement, logo accuracy and colour consistency across the batch.

Checkpoint 6

Packing verification

Polybag and carton marking, barcode and label accuracy, carton count, gross and net weight, pallet configuration for the booked shipping method.

Capacity & scheduling

What the numbers mean for your order

  • Roughly 500 employees across development, cutting, sewing, assembly, inspection and packing on one site.
  • Planned capacity of about 500,000 pieces per month, which is what makes repeat and scaling orders schedulable rather than opportunistic.
  • Bulk production typically runs 25–40 days after sample approval, varying with quantity, category and customisation depth.
  • A single consolidated facility means no coordination risk between a trading office and an unseen subcontractor — one team is accountable end to end.

A good fit for

  • +SME and emerging bag brands scaling from test batches to repeat volume
  • +Cross-border e-commerce and marketplace sellers needing reliable restocks
  • +Wholesalers and retailers sourcing several categories from one supplier
  • +Buyers who want to see process detail rather than marketing claims

Not the best fit for

  • –Buyers requiring specific third-party audits or certifications — we currently hold none and will not imply otherwise
  • –One-off or sample-only quantities well below the MOQ
  • –Programmes that need a certified sustainability or social-compliance report
  • –Buyers wanting the lowest possible price on a fully standardised commodity bag

Factory questions

Frequently asked questions

Still evaluating suppliers? Compare our answers against other quotations — and see the full OEM & ODM workflow.

What is the minimum order quantity at your bag factory?

MOQ starts at approximately 500 pieces per style. It is deliberately low so that emerging brands and e-commerce sellers can validate a design in the market before committing to volume. Complex constructions or custom-developed materials may require more.

What quality control standard do you use for bag production?

Eighteen Craft runs a multi-checkpoint system: incoming material inspection, written pre-production sample sign-off, in-line checks during sewing, an end-of-line functional check and a final random inspection on an AQL 2.5 style sampling plan. Third-party inspection booked by the buyer is welcome at any stage.

How large is the Eighteen Craft factory?

The facility operates with roughly 500 employees and a planned monthly capacity of about 500,000 pieces, covering development, cutting, sewing, assembly, inspection and export packing on a single site in Lieshan District, Huaibei, Anhui.

Which bag categories and materials can the factory produce?

Eight categories — women's handbags, backpacks, urban commuter bags, travel bags, laptop bags, tool bags, cosmetic bags and storage & organizer bags — across six material families: PU, synthetic leather, genuine leather, polyester, nylon/poly fabric and canvas.

How long does sampling and bulk production take?

Sampling typically takes 7–12 days from confirmed specification and materials. Bulk production typically runs 25–40 days after written sample approval, depending on quantity, category and customisation depth.

Where is the factory located and can I visit?

The factory is at Building 11, Chunxu Industrial Park, No. 3 Taobo Road, Lieshan District, Huaibei, Anhui, China. Buyers and their agents are welcome to visit or to book a third-party inspection.
